About Heather McLennan Artist
While working in the travel industry for many years, Heather and her husband settled in the Scottish Borders in the beautiful village of West Linton. When her son was old enough to go to primary school, Heather started painting as a hobby and often donated her work to local charities to assist with their fundraising. As her popularity grew, it was a leap of faith to leave the travel industry behind to concentrate on her art full-time and she has never looked back.
As a self-taught artist working from home, Heather takes inspiration from her local countryside and her love of nature. Over the years she has adapted her quirky style, which is full of colour and warmth and captures the essence of Scotland’s iconic landmarks and wildlife.
Heather has produced a range of products depicting her artwork, all of which can be found in her online shop as well as various stockists in Scotland. Such as;
Purdie's of Argyll situated in Inveraray
The Biggar Gallery
